Designing a padel tennis court starts with selecting an appropriate location and determining the facilities layout, with court orientation important to creating a functional padel centre. It is important to provide ample space between courts to accommodate out-of-court play for higher-level players. Additionally, while a minimum height clearance of 6 meters is required, it is recommended to have 8 meters where possible.

Depending where your padel courts are, you may require planning permission, particularly for public or large-scale developments. This involves submitting a detailed planning application to the local council, which will be evaluated based on criteria such as environmental impact, community benefits, and compliance with local planning regulations. Consulting with the local planning authority early in the process is recommended to understand specific requirements and facilitate a smoother approval process.

We conduct a thorough site inspection to evaluate the site, drainage, and overall suitability. If suitable, work starts to clear and level the site, ensuring a stable foundation for the court. Followed by excavating the area to the required depth and installing proper drainage to provide structural stability.

Once the drainage is in place, we apply a level layer of crushed stone or gravel to create the sub base, allowing for further drainage capabilities. The base layer is formed with a level layer of concrete or asphalt, providing a firm foundation for the playing surface.

Surrounding enclosure and rebound walls: As per the International Padel Federation standards, the enclosures consist of glass walls and metal mesh fencing. The back glass walls are 10 metres wide, and 3 metres high, with an additional 1 metre mesh fence on top. The walls and mesh fence across the side of the courts stand at 3 metres high. Given the heavy weight of these structures, it is essential to have them professionally installed to ensure structural stability. The finishing touches: Once the playing surface is in-situ, we install the LED lighting, net posts and provide you with any maintenance equipment or training required.
