THE CLIENT – BALLISODARE UNITED

Ballisodare United FC, a football club based in County Sligo, Ireland, wanted to improve its facilities to better support its teams and host prestigious events such as the Atlantic Cup.

THE BACKGROUND

Ballisodare United FC planned to host the Atlantic Cup 2019, an annual competition that welcomes clubs from across Ireland. The club required a high-performance, durable playing surface to meet this event’s demands and support its local community’s growing needs.

THE BRIEF

The club required:

A full-sized FIFA-quality 3G synthetic pitch.
Infrastructure improvements, including floodlighting, fencing, and proper drainage.
A surface capable of handling heavy usage from club training sessions, matches, and community activities.

WHAT WE DID

Constructed and installed a full-size SIS Grass Synthetic Xtreme 3G pitch to meet FIFA quality standards.
Provided additional infrastructure, including floodlighting, fencing, civils, and drainage systems.
Ensured the facility was ready for the Atlantic Cup by completing work in August 2019.

THE OUTCOME

The new SIS Grass Synthetic Xtreme pitch delivers exceptional performance and durability, catering to Ballisodare United FC’s training and match-day requirements. The facility has already seen increased demand from local schools, community groups, and other football clubs. Hosting the Atlantic Cup 2019 marked the first of many future events at this upgraded venue.
